Imagine yourself in their shoes. Living in constant fear that you, your sister, brother, mom, dad, aunt, uncle, cousin, grandparent, or friend could be captured or killed by on another at any moment. That you could be forced to kill innocent members of your community and surrounding communities or be killed yourself. And not just poison them in the middle of the night, but violently, actively kill them. Imagine if you're choice were to murder or be murdered. What would want others to do about it?
Whether you sympathize or empathize with these individuals, we can all find some sort of connection or dig down for some sort of compassion. That is why I believe these video documentaries to be so successful. They make you care. They make you feel like its happening to you or to someone you care about or to someone who you care about care's about. Basically they make these issue seem closer than 8000 miles away. Basically, they make you feel like you should help so you do. You make a change. You become an Activist.
Activism matters because we can make a change. We, THE YOUTH, Have the power to right a wrong. WE can empower!
